This blog may be cut a little short because I am currently watching the Bachelorette with my pageant sisters, Alyssa and Rosie :). A little down time is needed after the long days of rehearsal…and high heels! Wooooh my feet are definitely feeling the pain. But as the old saying goes no pain, no game. (Okay okay so I think that is the saying?)
We spent about 5 hours rehearsing all of our production numbers today. I think it is going to be a pretty awesome show! If you are in the Williston area and have nothing to do Thursday, Friday, or Saturday…come show a little love for Miss Oil Country! I mean I’m just saying it would be cool… and fun (cough cough).
BUT we did get a nice 2 hour break today to explore downtown Williston and guess where we went first….a coffee shop! We had a blast walking/practicing our modeling while walking from store to store. We even had our own papparzi (sp?) from the Williston Herald following us around. With the wind blowing our hair around we all felt like rockstars!
After a long day of rehearsing and being on our feet, we ate dinner at one of my favorite places in Williston….the Halliburton Man Camp! Don’t bash it before you try it because let me tell you..this food is gourmet! We had a lovely dinner of spinach salad with raspberry sauce, steak with crab (and other fancy things) for the main course, and an AMAZING trifle for dessert with fresh berries. Swim suit is how many days away?? Thankfully I will be going for a run tomorrow morning with a former Miss ND and marathoner. Time to work off that sugar!
But now it’s time to get back to girl time :). Again if you have any advice or words of encouragement..please share!!
